The proper way to scale fish

Scaling fish is a very necessary process, but fortunately it's an easy one. All you’ll need is a fish scaler or the back of a knife. To scale a fish, place it on your work surface and grab it by its tail. Working from the tail to the head, run the back of the knife along the body of the fish. The scales should start popping right off. Be careful not to damage the flesh of the fish by pushing too hard. Flip the fish over and scale the other side. Once all the scales are removed, rinse the fish under cool water.
