My best friend makes her own sausage, and my favorite is sausage with apples, raisins, and orange peel. I think she said her family used to make it with liver as well, but she just makes hers with ground pork. She doesn't know how to spell the name that her family has always called this sausage, and when I tried to google it, I came up with something obcene. I wonder if anyone might have the correct name and spelling for this sausage. I'll try to spell it phonetically. The first a is long, the second a is short.. It sounds sort of like i-fa/-gi-ta. Does anyone know anything about this sausage?
